CPRD SWIMMING POOL BEING REMODELED
CPRD is currently in the process of remodeling the swimming pool, which is
located at the Community Center. The remodeling process, which involves the
installation of a vinyl laminate lining, new ladders, and a new lifeguard
station, will be completed at a cost of approximately $130,000. The installation
of the new pool liner will drastically reduce the amount of pool cleaning and
repair that is annually required in order to prepare the pool for the swim
season. The liner will also reduce both the amount of chemicals required to
treat the water and the number of BTU’s required to heat the pool water to a
comfortable temperature. In addition, the liner should completely stop water
loss from the walls and floor of the pool, which was becoming a concern during
the last two years of operation. With a warranty of at least 10 years, the pool
liner will continue to provide these benefits for many years to come.
TENNIS COURTS AT RYE PARK COMPLETED
CPRD is proud to announce the completion of the Rye Park tennis court
refinishing project which was completed at a cost of approximately $13,000. The
court will be fully cured and ready for use by the time this article is printed.
CPRD CO-ED VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE AND TOURNAMENT RESULTS
The 2008 Co-ed A and B Volleyball leagues recently concluded with an
end-of-season tournament that was held a CPRD. First place in both the A league
and the tournament was awarded to “Get There”, with “No Fear” taking second in
both league and tournament play. In the B league, the undefeated “Natives” took
first in both league and tournament play. Second place in the B league
tournament was awarded to “The Bald and The Beautiful”. Congratulations to all
who participated in the co-ed league tournament, and thanks for a great 2008
season!
KIDS FISHING DAY AT CASTLE ROCK LAKE
CPRD will be participating in “Kids Fishing Day” which will begin at 8:00 AM on
Thursday, May 8th, 2008 and will be held at Castle Rock Lake. Please contact

CPRD HOSTS PITCH, HIT & RUN COMPETITION
The CPRD programs department will hold the annual Pitch, Hit & Run competition
on Monday, May 12th, 2008 beginning at 5:00 PM. The Pitch, Hit & Run competition
is open to all youth ages 7 to 14 (as of July 17th, 2008). Please contact Joshua

CPRD MAIN GYM AND COMMUNITY CENTER CLOSURE – REMINDER
CPRD will be closing the community center on Saturday, May 17th, 2008. The main
gym will be closed from Friday, May 16th to Tuesday, May 27th, 2008 for
refinishing.
