CPRD COMMENTS August 23, 2007
CPRD NAMES JOSHUA ZAPATA AS NEW PROGRAM DIRECTOR
CPRD is pleased to announce the hiring of Joshua Zapata as program director. He
replaces Greg Smith who retired at the end of July. He has previously worked in
the education system as a teacher and also including administration where he
served as Activities Director of the Lame Deer school system. He began work on
July 1st and officially took over all duties on July 27th.
Josh is a very experienced, competent and organized person who will bring great
value to the district in the various youth and adult instructional, sports and
special events that CPRD sponsors. He and his family love our community and had
already chose to live in our community prior to his hiring. He has clearly
demonstrated in the short time he has been employed with CPRD that he will
provide great leadership. Josh will be a great addition to the park district. We
are pleased to welcome him to the CPRD team.

NEW FITNESS EQUIPMENT ARRIVES AT COMMUNITY CENTER
CPRD has replaced or added some new equipment to compliment our fitness
facilities. The Heart Room received a new “StarTrac Pro” treadmill that features
fans for helping cool you off while working out. Also new to that area is a
“Cybex total body arc trainer” that looks much like an elliptical machine but
will work muscles in a different way by minimizing hip rotation. When the
incline is increased it will really work the top of your thighs as well as other
areas.
The weight room has received new dumbbells that reach up to 125 lbs. The former
Pec Deck has been replaced by a new Back/Fly machine that will allow the same
workouts but for a wider range of users especially the ladies. The other
acquisition for this fall is 10 spin bikes that are located in the fitness gym.
These bikes will be used for group biking classes known as Spin classes offered
this fall and also used as an alternate activity to other supervised fitness
programs. Individual unsupervised bikes are still available in the Heart Room.
We hope all of our fitness participants enjoy and benefit from these new
additions.
