RED LODGE SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIPS

By: Deann Bailey

YOUTH & ADULT DAY TRIP TO RED LODGE
CPRD has two ski trips planned for Red Lodge Mountain in January. The first trip will occur on January 13th for youth and adults. Deadline for signing up will be January 11th. Sign-up information can be picked at CPRD or on our web page at www.colstripparks.com. The bus for the ski trip will depart from the community center at 6:00 AM. Don’t miss the deadline for this annual event

FIRST TIME EVER ALL ADULT (21 OR OLDER) TWO DAY TRIP TO RED LODGE
A very special 2 day ski trip is being planned for Red Lodge is being planned for January 26 & 27th. Room rates and reservations are time sensitive so it is crucial to contact Deann Bailey by Thursday January 10th for this special 2-day adult trip. Deann can be reached at 748-3326 ext.-126 for reservation confirmations. We have about 12 and are hoping for 20 and ski package rates will be specific to the number of sign-ups we receive.

Room prices are approximately $60.00 per night depending on the number of persons who commit to the trip by Thursday the 10th. Lift tickets should be $35.00 and equipment rentals $25.00

WEIGHTROOM EXPANSION WRAPPING UP
The weight room expansion is nearing completion. It is amazing just how much larger the room has become with all the previous walls removed. Users will have more room for safety and we will possibly be able to add additional equipment. Staff members Dan Rootes, Duane Cole, Dwayne West and Robert Whitehead provided great effort in making this a great enhancement to one our most important parts of the facility. There are a few odds & ends but for the most part the work is complete. We ask users to heed the signs to put away their weights after use as a courtesy to their fellow lifters an also avoid dropping weights to preserve the longevity of the existing and new rubber flooring.
We hope you enjoy the new layout!

DID YOU KNOW?
Natural rubber used for making rubber bands is made from latex emulsion collected from the rubber tree, called Hevea Brasiliensis. It planted in very large plantations in tropical countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Kids today, all they talk about is big air. I say, stay on the mountain, that's where the action is. If you want big air, pull my finger. ~Smooth Johnson
