AREA ATHLETES PLACE AT HERSHEY’S MONTANA STATE FINALS
Young athletes, ages 9-14, came from all over the state to compete in the
Montana State Hershey Track and Field Finals which was held in Colstrip on
Saturday, June 19th, 2010. The Colstrip Park and Recreation District organizes
the event that is sponsored in all 50 states and Canada by The Hershey Company.
At least five of the state meet winners from Montana will go on to compete at
the Hershey’s North American Track and Field Finals which will be held in
Hershey, Pennsylvania later this summer. The following athletes are 2010 Montana
State Champions:
AGES 9-10
50M Dash – Kaden Kuntz – Baker – 7.42 seconds
Standing Long Jump – Mason Kuntz – Baker – 6’ 9”
100M Dash – Jasmyne Cooper – Lame Deer – 15.68 seconds
200M Dash – Jasmyne Cooper – Lame Deer – 34.59 seconds
AGES 11-12
Standing Long Jump – Daniel Rost – Baker – 7’ 4”
Softball Throw – Treston Erickson – Baker – 134’ 11”
100M Dash – Cade Johnstone – Forsyth – 14.11 seconds
200M Dash – Paul Johnstone – Forsyth – 30.61 seconds
AGES 13-14
Standing Long Jump – Allyson Cole – Forsyth – 8’ 3 ½”

CPRD PROUDLY ANNOUNCES FUN RUN FINISHERS!
CPRD would like to announce the results of the recent CPRD Fun Run. The Fun Run
is a 5K race with a 1-mile Children’s Fun Run. The CPRD Fun Run took place
during the Colstrip Days festivities on June 26th, 2010. Results are as follows:
