Nursery Guidelines
Newborn babies will not be allowed in the Nursery until they have had
their first immunization shots for communicable disease (usually MMR, DPT,
and Polio). Infants 9 months and under will be limited to 2 infants
per attendant. Any more infants arriving after the limit will be
turned away.
- Children with illness will not be allowed in the Nursery until symptoms
subside. Such symptoms as: fevers, continuous coughing, runny
nose, vomiting, eye discharge, or any eye infections, diarrhea, etc...
Children with chicken pox, measles or other communicable diseases are not
allowed. If symptoms develop after the child has been admitted into
the Nursery, parents will be immediately notified. Our Nursery staff
will determine when your child can be readmitted to the Nursery. If
you have questions as to whether or not your child will be allowed into the
Nursery, please call and speak with our Nursery Supervisor.
- Unmanageable children will be brought back to the parents. This
includes: uncontrollable crying, children who cry for an extended period of
time (10-15 minutes), and violent children who will not take time outs.
- We do provide cookies and crackers for snack time. It is not
necessary to bring snacks for the children unless you prefer otherwise.
Please make arrangements with the Nursery staff. If children stay
during lunch hour, we feed them their lunches. Lunches are to be
provided by parents. PLEASE NO GUM!
- We must be notified of any allergies your children may have.
Please make a list of their allergies and symptoms of their reactions.
We cannot give any medications to children in the Nursery.
- All children must be checked into the Nursery and picked up by parents,
guardians, or siblings 10 years old and older. We are not responsible
for children who are not checked into the Nursery. Please be courteous
to Nursery Personnel and pick up your child promptly after your activity.
- When checking children into the Nursery parents need to inform Nursery
Personnel where they will be in case of an emergency.
- Colstrip Park and Recreation District Nursery is a facility provided for
parents who are using a building service. Parents may leave the
building while their children are in the Nursery if it is a CPRD activity or
they are biking, running, or walking.. It is necessary to provide the
Nursery staff with the time they are leaving, the estimated time they will
be back, and the route they will be taking. This is important should
an emergency occur.
- FIRE - In case of fire the children will be evacuated by the nearest
exit. It they are in the Nursery they will be lead out the back exit
and meet parents at the Flag Pole.
- Nursery Personnel will be allowed to leave early if no children are
checked in by quart after the hour before the scheduled closing time of the
Nursery.
