CPRD Afterschool Program & Breakfast Club


Located in the lower level of the CPRD Community Center, the CPRD KIDS afterschool program is designed to meet the needs of children of working parents. Qualified, caring staff and volunteers provide a safe, enriching environment for children in kindergarten through the age of 12.  The program is open until 6:00 PM each day the Colstrip Public Schools are in session. Bus transportation is provided to the program from Pine Butte Elementary at the end of each school day.

Each child receives a daily snack at the program and may receive help with his or her homework. Children may also participate in arts & crafts projects, small and large group activities, outdoor and indoor recreation, computer time,  and video and board games. Local field trips to the Colstrip Bicentennial Library, the Schoolhouse History & Art Center, and other community places are scheduled regularly. Children enrolled in the CPRD KIDS program are encouraged to take part in additional CPRD youth programs such as Tumbling classes, Youth Soccer, Utah Jazz Basketball, Youth Circuit Training and Spring Softball or Baseball. Separate registration fees for these additional CPRD Youth activities may be required. Transportation is provided to and from any CPRD class or activity taking place between 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Registration Information: Registration Fee: $30 per child/school quarter.  Please return registration forms with payment to the CPRD Front Desk.   Snack cards may be purchased in $5 and $10 increments at any time during the program year.

Time: 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday; 2:30 – 6:00 PM Thursday, each day school is in session

Breakfast Club

Looking for a safe place for your child to be at before school in the morning? Bring them to the Breakfast Club! The Breakfast Club is open at 6:30 a.m. every morning school is in session. Registration may be completed at the CPRD Front Desk. Breakfast is available on site.  While at the program, children may receive help with homework, spend time playing games or participate in other fun, supervised activities.
